Sponberg voice is rich and deep that only gives aid to the already powerful lyrics. Her voice neither harms nor detracts the listener from experiencing this worship song list. Her vocals bring a vibrancy to each song that gives a fresh take on both old and new songs. The old songs represent the hymnals and the new songs represent contemporary songs. She is able to mix hymnal with contemporary, seamlessly. Those who like only hymns and those who like only contemporary music will both feel comfortable listening to Sponberg’s album. A couple of highlights from the album are “Rock I Stand” and “Trust and Obey.”
For me, her vibrant vocals only help to lift the songs as a prayer to God and does not detract in the slightest. Just as Sponberg has given a hundred percent in singing the songs, so too, can we give a hundred percent while worshipping with her. With this album, Sponberg challenges us to worship and join her in singing.
